Common hour

Join other students, faculty, and staff for engaging and enlightening social justice-focused discussions during Common Hour. Each week, our community gathers — whether in person, virtually, or both! — to explore and discuss thought-provoking topics with community and industry leaders who share their unique perspectives and experiences on a variety of societal issues.

From examining systemic inequalities to discussing strategies for positive change, these discussions are designed to inspire action and foster a deeper understanding of the world around us.

Common Hour is held on Wednesdays at noon Central. It offers a space for open and honest dialogue, providing a chance to engage with diverse viewpoints, challenge assumptions, and broaden your perspective on social justice issues.

Please note, to ensure equity for all interested parties, only one date can be held per month for one department or organization. The Common Hour Committee will cancel events that has not been approved.

  • Confirm the availability of your preferred date through this bookings link. This can be done before all details are finalized and must be completed before moving to the next step.

  • After holding a date through the bookings link, complete the Common Hour request form. This form must be filled out at least one month before the intended event date. If not, we will not be able to move forward with the event.
